André Fortin asks for additional help for the Outaouais
The MNA for Pontiac, André Fortin, asked the Legault government that resources from other regions could come to the Outaouais in order to help health professionals in the region.
“Everything must be done to regain control of the situation in the Outaouais. Our healthcare system lacks human resources to take care of Covid patients, ensure vaccination, screening and routine activities. We need help immediately. I ask the government to urgently send care teams to the Outaouais, to allow our health professionals to breathe, so that people are treated here, so that we soon find a certain normalcy, ”declared André. Fortin via his Facebook page.
André Fortin says that this additional human resource assistance would allow the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais to carry out urgent surgeries, which are currently being delayed given the load shedding linked to the COVID-19 pandemic .
