André Fortin answers question from CHIP auditor 101,9 about the pool
As part of the live interview on CHIP 101.9 with the MNA for Pontiac, André Fortin answered questions that came directly from listeners who either called in or wrote. Regardless, on in particular sparked interest among listeners, as the question was in regards to the Regional Pool Project in Fort-Coulonge.
The question: Do you think there will be support from the Quebec government for the Pontiac swimming pool project?
Answer by André Fortin: The swimming pool project is one that is particularly close to my heart because it will make a very clear contribution to improve the quality of life for the citizens of our region. The Quebec government will soon launch a program allowing municipalities and organizations to submit projects related to sports infrastructure. As this is a standardized program, that’s evaluated according to an objective analysis grid by public service, the project will have to meet certain criteria. The fact that it is a unique infrastructure in our region should help. When the details of the program are released, I intend to work with the Groupe Piscine Pontiac to ensure that the application meets the criteria for approval.
