In an open letter to the media last week, Pontiac’s Carrefour Jeunesse Emploi asked the federal government and Pontiac MP Will Amos to review certain aspects of the Canada Summer Jobs (CSJ) program. The letter signed by the director of the CJE Pontac Sylvie Landriault, addresses the subsidy received under this program by Sortir du Bois/Woodland Advantage. The Pontiac Youth Employment centres says that it is attempting, through this Canada Summer Jobs program, to hire young people from the Pontiac who have left the area for post secondary studies in order to offer them employment in the Pontiac, but that certain aspects of the program do not allow them to meet salary, schedule and flexibility needs to hire a student.

The letter is available here.
