An open day at the Bryson power plant

8 September 2026 à 3:14 pm

Hydro-Québec will open the doors of the Bryson Generating Station on September 26th, 2026, as part of the celebrations surrounding the 100th anniversary of the Gatineau–Outaouais generating stations.

Residents of surrounding municipalities will have the opportunity to discover the facilities during a guided tour of the station. Activities for the whole family will also be offered.

Transportation to the generating station will be provided by shuttle. Departure will be from the Bryson Recreation Association, located at 660 Main Street. The activity, including transportation, will last approximately three hours.

Participation is free, but reservations are required. Those interested can reserve their spot with Hydro-Québec.

This day will allow the public to learn more about the history and operation of a hydroelectric facility in the region, as the celebrations highlight a century of history and energy innovation in the Outaouais.
