An evening to honor the memory of Kendyl Smith-Trimm and support children with cancer

On Saturday, September 12th, 2026, the community is invited to gather at the Upper Pontiac Sports Complex in Chapeau, Quebec, for the 3rd annual Kendyl Smith-Trimm Caring for Kids CHEO Fundraiser.

From 8 p.m. to 1 a.m., this benefit evening will honour the memory of Kendyl Smith-Trimm (2014–2023), a loving and caring young girl who wanted to help other children. After bravely battling osteosarcoma, Kendyl passed away in August 2023. Her desire to help children lives on through the Kendyl Smith-Trimm Caring for Kids Endowment Fund, established by her family to benefit CHEO.

The evening will feature guest speakers from the CHEO Foundation, The Magic of Steven Anthony, live music with Willy Rivet and the Hillbilly Deluxe Band and Midlife Krisis, a late dinner, a 50/50 raffle, prize draws, and a door prize.

Funds raised will support CHEO’s Child Life and Family Assistance programs, which provide invaluable support to children with cancer and their families.
