An evening to celebrate Francophonie in Pembroke

An evening to celebrate Francophonie in Pembroke

18 September 2026 à 2:55 pm

The Saint-Jean-Baptiste Society of Pembroke invites the community to participate in a new format of Francophone community festivities on Friday, September 25th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Francophone Cultural Centre, located at 303 James Street in Pembroke.

The event aims to bring families and the Francophone community together to celebrate the Franco-Ontarian flag. Children from Francophone schools are invited to participate in the festivities by wearing green and white, particularly through their clothing and face paint.

The evening will begin with a flag-raising ceremony, followed by a free potluck dinner featuring hot dogs and chips. Carnival games and various family activities will also be offered throughout the evening.

Participants will also have the opportunity to meet artists, artisans, and representatives from Francophone organizations in the region. Tickets will be given to visitors for a chance to win a gift basket.

The program will conclude at 7:00 p.m. with a screening of a French-language film suitable for the whole family.

The Société Saint-Jean-Baptiste de Pembroke and its partners invite community members to come celebrate Francophonie and enjoy a family evening focused on togetherness.
