“All the energy is on the recovery and the recruitment of a management” -Mario Boyer

The interim director general of Île-du-Grand-Calumet, Mario Boyer, told CHIP 101.9 that the municipal council was going to await the process of the Commission municipale du Québec (CMQ) in the quote on ethics from mayor Serge Newberry and that for the moment, nothing was going to change in the responsibilities of the mayor.

Recall that Serge Newberry is cited in municipal ethics before the CMQ for events that would have occurred from the start of his mandate in November 2017, until last June.

Mario Boyer insisted on the fact that his priority for the moment was to ensure a transition and straighten out the daily administrative management of the office. “All of our energy is on the recovery. Until now, I would like to emphasize that we have the support of all the members of the council who are committed to working together for the good of the citizens ”insisted Mario Boyer. Candidates for the position of general manager will be met shortly. Mario Boyer will be in post until February.

Remember that Mario Boyer and consultant Lynn Kearney have a mandate to help the municipality in the recruitment of a permanent general management and to establish stability within the municipal office of Île-du-Grand-Calumet.
