The COVID-19 outbreak at the CHSLD Manoir Sacré-Coeur in Mansfield will officially end shortly, according to regional health authorities. CHIP 101.9 broke the news of the situation on January 14, and at its peak, 37 of the long-term care facility’s 40 residents had tested positive for the virus. According to the most recent information available, no hospitalizations or deaths were linked to the outbreak.
This afternoon, CISSSO media relations agent Patricia Rhéaume sent an email confirming the good news.
“Today, there are no more active cases at the CHSLD Fort-Coulonge. The outbreak is still active but will be lifted in the next few days. So 37 residents were infected and 37 residents recovered! We are monitoring the situation closely,” she wrote (translated).
According to information obtained by CHIP 101.9, the vast majority of the facility’s residents were fully vaccinated.
