Teva‘s Canadian subsidiary is conducting the recall because some tablets may be contaminated with epoxy. According to Health Canada, ingesting this substance could cause damage to the digestive system.

People who have this medication are advised to stop taking it and check the lot number to determine if their product is affected by the recall.

The medication is sold without a prescription, but it may also have been dispensed directly by a healthcare professional.

If you have the affected product, Health Canada recommends contacting a pharmacist for further advice and to obtain a replacement if needed.
