The regional finals of Secondaire en spectacle, presented by Desjardins, brought together over 140 students from 15 Outaouais schools at Maison du citoyen, from March 31 to April 2. During this major event, 36 prizes were awarded to young artists in recognition of their talent and commitment to the world of show business.

The event’s partners also awarded several prizes during the two evening shows. Among them, the Young Journalist Experience prize, awarded by DSC (Dimension sportive et culturelle), went to Vidalie Drapeau from École secondaire Sieur-de-Coulonge, in recognition of her promising talent in the field of journalism.

The three-stage program allows young people to immerse themselves in the world of the performing arts. As artists, animators, technicians, journalists, or organizers, they have the opportunity to explore different aspects of the performing arts while honing their skills.

During the day, participants were able to attend workshops led by professionals in the field, offering them valuable formative experiences.

The regional winners will have the chance to take part in the Rendez-vous panquébécois (RVPQ), Quebec’s largest gathering of young artists, to be held in Amqui from May 29 to June 1.
