A vibrant 39th edition for the Hot Air Balloon Festival

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival returns for its 39th edition from September 2nd to 6th, 2026, at Parc de la Baie. For five days, festival-goers can enjoy a mix of shows, hot air balloon flights, nighttime illuminations, fireworks, and activities for the whole family.

On the music front, the lineup includes Matt Lang and Émile Bilodeau on September 2nd, Smash Mouth on September 3rd, Simple Plan on September 4th, and Half Moon Run and Sara Dufour on September 5th. The festival concludes on September 6th with performances by Fredz and Koriass, among others.

Hot air balloons remain the centerpiece of the event, with flights scheduled for the morning and evening, weather permitting. Nighttime illuminations and fireworks will also be presented in the evenings.

The Gatineau Hot Air Balloon Festival will be held at Parc de la Baie, 988 Saint-Louis Street, in Gatineau. A great way to enjoy the Labour Day long weekend, with music, family activities and a show in the sky.
