A public beach should be offered this summer in Mansfield / Fort-Coulonge
The Municipality of Mansfield and the Municipality of Fort-Coulonge have worked together to allow the opening of a beach located on the banks of the Coulonge River, very close to the White Bridge, behind the Bowers restaurant and opposite from the Dépanneur Beausoir. The Aventure Héliante cooperative will be responsible for managing the site. Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey of Aventure Héliante believes that the beach could be opened next August.
The site will be free for citizens of Mansfield and Fort-Coulonge. The equipment must all be removable since it is a floodable area in the spring. Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey will soon launch a campaign to find sponsors.
Citizens of other municipalities will also be able to enjoy the beach for a certain contribution. However, Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey said that there could also be agreements with other municipalities who wish to offer this service to their citizens.
