A petition to bring “major corrections” to healthcare service in Outaouais
Three unions in the region; the l’Alliance du personnel professionnel et technique de la santé et des services sociaux (APTS), the Syndicat des travailleuses et des travailleurs de la santé et des services sociaux de l’Outaouais – CSN, as well as the Syndicat des professionnels en soins de l’Outaouais (SPSO)-FIQ, tabled a petition of 2925 signatures Thursday night for the Board of Directors of the Outaouais’ Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSSO) and the special representative appointed by the Minister of Health and Social Services, Sylvain Gagnon. The document requests that “major corrections” be issued in the services provided to the people in the Outaouais and in the working conditions of its employees. The president of the Syndicat des travailleuses et des travailleurs de la santé et des services sociaux de l’Outaouais – CSN, Josée McMillan gave more details;
Ms. McMillan would also like the three Unions to meet the special representative of the CISSSO, Sylvain Gagnon, whose mandate is to document the issues raised by stakeholders in the community.
