A free telephone legal clinic this weekend in Quebec

Quebecers will be able to get free legal advice on October 17th and 18th, thanks to a telephone clinic organized by the Jeune Barreau de Montréal.

From 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., on Saturday and Sunday, members of the public will be able to ask their questions to a volunteer lawyer or notary, without appointment and in complete confidentiality.

The consultations will cover a range of topics including family law, housing, labour, consumption, estates and neighbour disputes. The service is intended for all Quebecers and provides information to help them better understand their rights and possible approaches.

During the clinic held last spring, the Jeune Barreau de Montréal received 4,180 calls. The issues focused on immigration, estates, housing and family law.
