A drowning last night in Campbell’s Bay
A drowning occurred this Thursday, May 22nd in Campbell’s Bay in the Ottawa River. A 66-year-old local man reportedly fell near Second Avenue.
The fire department was called around 10:30 p.m. in the municipality to try to rescue the man.
His body was recovered shortly after midnight and transported to the hospital where his death was confirmed.
The police of the Sûreté du Québec are investigating the circumstances of the event.
