A body found in Isle-aux-Allumettes along the Ottawa River
A body was found in Isle-aux-Allumettes along the Ottawa River this morning around 9:45 am, the Sûreté du Québec police officers from the MRC Pontiac station were called after the discovery of a body in L’Isle-aux-Allumettes. The body was located in the waters of the Ottawa River by citizens. An investigation is underway to determine the identity of the person and the cause of death.

The body was taken to the Forensic Science and Forensic Medicine Laboratory in Montreal for autopsy and expertise. This could be Robert Chartrand, who disappeared in the waters of the Ottawa River last February.
