A lump sum is granted to finance the purchase of various equipment that will meet the needs of the children. To date, Opération Enfant Soleil has donated $ 82,952 to the hospital. This sum will allow, among other things, to treat the little ones near their own and to ensure safe transport to specialized centers, when necessary. 75 grants will be paid to hospitals across the province to provide the best care for children, support medical teams and support families when they need it most.
“It is really essential to have equipment that allows us to look after the children in our regional centers and, when necessary, to be able to transfer them to specialized centers in a safe and appropriate manner. It is reassuring, not only for the nursing staff, who are able to ensure that they offer the best care, but also for the parents, who know that we are using the best equipment for their child ”testifies Dr. Geneviève Gaëtan, chief of pediatrics at the CISSS de l’Outaouais.
