A 39-year-old man of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes arrested on multiple charges

A 39-year-old man from the Chapeau sector of the municipality of L’Isle-aux-Allumettes was arrested on Thursday, January 16th, as part of a larger collaborative police operation between the Sûreté du Québec, the Service de Police de la Ville de Gatineau and the Ottawa police drug unit, during which they seize four firearms, a variety of drugs and arrested 4 people (including two from Ottawa and one from Gatineau). In an interview with CHIP 101. 9, Constable Amy Gagnon of the Ottawa Police Service gave more details on the investigation that led to the arrests.

According to Gagnon, the Chapeau man will appear in a Québec court at a future date to face charges of Possession for the purpose of trafficking (schedule I substance x2), for Possession proceeds of crime under $5000.00 and for numerous firearms charges still to determine by Sûreté du Québec.
