Xavier Lusignan finished 6th at the Junior Pan American Games

Mansfield weightlifter Xavier Lusignan made his international debut yesterday (July 14) at the Junior Pan American Games in Colombia. Among the youngest weightlifters, Xavier Lusignan first finished 5th in the snatch and 8th in the clean and jerk, 6th overall out of 13 participants. The majority of the athletes who finished ahead of him were born in 2001, Xavier Lusignan for his part was one of the youngest, having been born in 2003.

His relatives are also very happy with this first international participation, since yesterday’s performance should allow him to access other competitions in the future.
