28 Days Alcohol-Free Challenge
28 Days Alcohol-Free Challenge
During the month of February, Quebecers are invited to participate in the 28 Days Alcohol-Free Challenge, organized by the Jean Lapointe Foundation, which offers workshops on the prevention of risks associated with the use of alcohol, cannabis and other drugs in secondary schools in all regions across the province. The general director of the organization, Annie Papageorgiou (papayeoryiou), gave more details.
In Pontiac, Sieur-de-Coulonge and Pontiac High are among the schools visited by the Jean Lapointe Foundation. The Foundation has been meeting with youth since 2008 to prevent drugs and alcohol to affect youth lives. According to Ms. Papageorgiou, the 28 Days Alcohol-Free Challenge is a good way for parents to talk to their kids about these issues. In 2019, the Jean Lapointe Foundation hopes that 10,000 people will participate in the Challenge and raise $ 500,000. To register for the Challenge, go to www.defi28jours.com.
