On Saturday, February 15th, the Sieur de Coulonge High School proudly celebrated the graduating class of the 2023-2024 cohort. Jeremy Labine, recreation technician at ESSC and organizer of the event, gives us some details about the day’s activities.

Some of the graduates received 137 individual bursaries, generously donated by 43 different community donors. These young people walked away with over $27,000 in scholarships.

CHIP 101.9 was also one of this year’s donors, and General Manager Geneviève Gagnon explains the importance she attaches to encouraging the next generation of young people in the region;

Youth is one of the region’s greatest assets. The forestry industry, the healthcare system, and small and medium-sized businesses all depend on qualified young people motivated to return and work here. CHIP 101.9 is proud to support the next generation of workers by providing scholarships and a voice for them.
– Geneviève Gagnon, General Manager CHIP 101.9

A great boost for young people’s future projects. Congratulations to the graduates.
