123 job seekers participated in CJE Pontiac’s virtual job fair
On Tuesday the Carrefour jeunesse emploi du Pontiac (CJEP) held their second annual virtual job fair, bringing out more than 100 job seekers and dozens of local employers.
Jessica Kelly, an intervention services coordinator with the CJEP explained that they had 117 potential employees attend (CJEP followed up a day later to clarify they had 123), as well as 30 potential employers, offering a total of 150 positions. She added that everyone from regional health authority CISSSO to school boards to local entrepreneurs were present.
She said that they would be holding the event annually going forward, and would be keeping the virtual format, as it made it easier for some businesses and job seekers to participate.
