Bouffe Pontiac reached and surpassed its goal for the 10th edition of the Guignolée that took place December 7, in Campbell’s Bay, Shawville and Isle-aux-Allumettes, from 6 am to 9 am. To celebrate its 10th anniversary, a goal of $ 10,000 in monetary donations was set. Once again, the Pontiac was up to the task and gave very generously.

In just a few hours, $ 11,093.75 was collected along with over 332 kg of food. These donations will be used to prepare approximately 200 Christmas baskets that will be shared with the less fortunate in the MRC.

Bouffe Pontiac says the event was a grand success thanks to the help and support of its partners and many dedicated volunteers who come back year after year. This year, 43 volunteers dedicated a total of 105 hours to the Guignolée.

Bouffe Pontiac thanks especially those who have ensured the safety of volunteers such as the Campbell’s Bay-Litchfield and Isle-aux-Allumettes Fire Services, the Sûreté du Québec and the Wildlife Conservation Society as well as the Amyotte Auto Center and Café 349 who provided snacks and hot beverages for volunteers. The event will be back in December 2018.
