The Pontiac community is invited to take part in the awareness walk against violence against women on November 25, starting at noon at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Fort-Coulonge.

The event is organized in collaboration between the Knights of Columbus and EntourElle, which provides services to teenage girls and women who live or have lived in an unhealthy relationship. The organization’s clinical leader, Ashley Nadeau, and community worker Vanessa Chabot tell us more about it in an interview.

From the Knights of Columbus, the event’s founder, Marc Boisvert, has organized this event every year for the past 10 years in memory of Diane Durocher, whose death in 2006 is linked to domestic violence. He gives us the details of this year’s edition of the march.
