Director of the Conseil régional de l’environnement et du développement durable de l’Outaouais (CREDDO) Benoit Delage noted that the creation of a protected area of 115,000 hectares in the watersheds of the Noire and Coulonge rivers (MRC Pontiac) will be done in collaboration with different stakeholders, such as municipalities, forest industry stakeholders or even businesses in the tourism industry.

During the interview, Benoit Delage repeatedly stressed the impact on the economic diversification of the Pontiac by referring, among other things, to the success of the Gatineau Park. CREDDO and its partners have 2 years to lead the different stages of this project.
