Gatineau’s Sommet Atypique event returns to encourage non-traditional careers for women

20 January 2025 à 1:54 pm

Option Femmes wants to encourage women from all regions of the Outaouais to take an interest in non-traditional trades such as construction, forestry and IT support.

The community organization, which works to help women in the Outaouais region find employment, is therefore organizing its second Atypical Summit on January 21 at Maison du citoyen de Gatineau:

The event will bring together about 40 booths and exhibitors showcasing various trades, also to enable participants to explore what could become new career opportunities for them:

Option Femmes has partnered with several employers and businesses to present atypical occupations to the Outaouais’ feminine population. This initiative aligns with the organization’s mission is to integrate women workers into the professional world and encourage them in their career plans or in pursuing their professional studies.

More information about the event is available on their social media.
