A busy winter season at the Centre des loisirs of île-du-Grand-Calumet

16 January 2025 à 3:50 pm

The Centre des Loisirs of île-du-Grand-Calumet is gearing up for a winter season packed with a variety of fun activities, promising to bring young and old together in a warm atmosphere.

Weekly activities include an open mic session on Monday mornings from 10 a.m. to noon. Everyone is invited to bring their instruments and share a moment of music. Refreshments will be served on-site.

On Thursday evenings, the darts club meets at 7 p.m., offering an excellent opportunity to socialize while honing your skills. New players are welcome! And don’t forget: a darts tournament is scheduled for Saturday, January 18, a great opportunity for enthusiasts to test their skills against each other in a relaxed atmosphere.

Every month, the center organizes a bingo evening, an activity that’s always popular with the community. Keep an eye on the announcements for upcoming dates.

The center will also be hosting a Winter mini Carnival on February 15. From the Centre des Loisirs, Tyler Lasalle gives a few more details:

Then, on March 15th, the center will celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with a cooking party.

The committee is currently looking for musicians to entertain. If you’re interested, contact Tyler Lasalle.

Finally, good news for skating fans! The skating rink is now open and ready to welcome families. Opening hours are as follows:
– Monday to Friday: 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.
– Saturday and Sunday: 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Volunteers are still needed to maintain services during these hours, especially to open the Leisure Center so skaters can put on their skates, warm up or enjoy the canteen. All help is welcome to support this great community initiative.
