Rainfall warning issued for Friday
Environment Canada has issued a rainfall warning for the Pontiac region, with between 50 and 70 mm expected to fall on Friday. Areas closer to the city, and in the neighbouring Gatineau River valley are expecting up to 100 mm.
“This rain will be caused by a low pressure system interacting with the moisture associated with tropical storm Debby,” the statement reads. “Heavy downpours can cause flash floods and water pooling on roads.”
