Mansfield en fête celebrating 175 years
Mansfield en fête will be marking Canada Day as well as the municipality’s 175th anniversary at the end of the month, taking place from June 28 to July 1 at Parc Amyotte.
Martin Leguerrier, president of the organizing committee, explained that there would be performances from a number of local musicians including Gail Gavan, BackTrak and REWD, among others. Special this year will be a Saturday night performance from Marie-Josée Corriveau and Jason Morel, acclaimed dancers who won the fourth season of reality show Révolution.
The traditional fireworks will take place on Sunday, June 30 at 10 p.m. For ages 12 and over, tickets will be $10 Friday and $15 per day Saturday and Sunday, with a weekend pass available for $30. Leguerrier said that they were still in need of volunteers for the weekend, and encouraged anyone interested to get in touch via social media.
