Woman injured after striking cattle on Hwy. 148 in Bristol
A woman was sent to hospital after striking two cows that wandered onto Hwy. 148 in Bristol Thursday morning (March 21).
Emergency crews were called to the scene at around 6:30 a.m. near the intersection with chemin de Wyman.
Sûreté du Québec spokesperson Sgt. Marc Tessier said that the woman was the sole occupant of the vehicle and described her injuries as non-life-threatening. He added that one cow was killed in the impact and the other was euthanized by an SQ officer on the scene.
Tessier said officers would be seeking out the owner of the cattle and trying to determine how they managed to get on the highway.
