Drugs and guns seized in Mansfield, one arrested
The Sûreté du Québec issued a statement yesterday announcing that they had seized guns and drugs in a raid in Mansfield on January 10. Members of the MRC Pontiac station under coordination of the Ouaouais Level One Drugs force were tipped off by a member of the public, which led to a raid on a home on rue Grand-Marais. A 48-year-0ld man was arrested and held in custody to appear at the Campbell’s Bay Courthouse, where he could face charges of drug trafficking as well as various firearms charges.
Following a search of the home, officers seized:
- more than 130 tablets of methamphetamine
- nearly 55 g of cocaine
- more than $1,640 in cash
- a 9mm handgun
- multiple firearms
