Pontiac MP Sophie Chatel was in Fort-Coulonge yesterday (March 16) to announce on behalf of the Minister of Sports and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development (CED), Pascale St-Onge, a contribution of $390,000 to the three Outaouais SADCs, including the SADC Pontiac, to accelerate the green shift of small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs).

“Our small and medium-sized enterprises are the pillars of our economy. It is important to support them so that they can reach their full potential,” Chatel stated in a press release. “That is why I am very proud to announce this non-repayable contribution to the three SADCs in the Outaouais region that will support our businesses in their green shift. It is essential to equip our businesses so that they can excel in tomorrow’s economy.”

During the announcement, which took place in front of the SADC Pontiac office on rue Baume, the owners of Domaine du Lac Bryson, Laurel and Denis Lebrun, testified to the help provided to them to help their business go green.

“It has always been a priority to protect our resources for the succession of our business which is why we at Bryson Lake Lodge take special consideration for our natural environment when it comes to managing our fishery and wildlife population,” Denis stated in a press release. “Equally as important to us, is to encourage and support our local economy as much as possible.”
