Musée régional de l’Outaouais becomes a self-governing organization with newly formed board of directors

On January 25th 2022, the new Musée régional de l’Outaouais (MRO) held a founding assembly. The Museum could potentially set up satellites across the region, with one roumered to be coming to the Maison culturelle George Bryson.

Supported by Réseau du patrimoine de Gatineau and l’Outaouais, the project made huge steps in 2021, establishing itself as a not-for-profit. Now, the MRO has now officially established its first Board of Directors.

Here is how the MRO’s Board of Directors is composed:

Carole Barbeau, administrator / Laurent Saumure, administrator
Laurence Gillot, administrator / Jessica Minier, administrator

With the Musée régional de l’Outaouais now made whole with a full team, the project will be able to move along successfully. Here are a few important goals to look out for this year:

Elaboration of strategic development plan;
Elaboration of business plan;
Creation of the Musée régional de l’Outaouais’ first broadcasting activities;
Creation of the Museum’s communication tools;
Location scouting.
