UPDATED: Outbreak at CHSLD Manoir Sacré-Coeur in Mansfield

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais has confirmed an outbreak at CHSLD Manoir Sacré-Coeur, a public long-term care facility located on chemin de la Chute in Mansfield. There are currently 21 residents who tested positive for COVID-19, according to CISSSO media relations agent Patricia Rhéaume.

The infected make up more than half of the home’s 40 residents. Rhéaume added that 19 employees have also been infected and are currently isolating.

“Our infection prevention and control teams are on site to ensure that the instructions are applied safely. We ensure that residents are stable and constantly monitor the evolution of symptoms. The safety of residents and staff is a priority. Public health is keeping a close watch on the situation,” she wrote in an email (translated).
