MRC Pontiac unveils their 2022 budget

At the first MRC Pontiac council of mayors meeting of the new term, they adopted a balanced budget of $9 million for the next fiscal year. According to a press release from the MRC, “support for economic development remains the focus of the budget choices for 2022.”

The largest revenues in the budget came from municipal shares ($3,411,998) and development grants ($3,581,463). The largest expenses came from strategic development ($2,246,911) as well as administrative and financial management ($1,272,620). The statement notes that municipal shares will increase from $0.13 to $0.135 per $100 of standardized property value.
