Bristol Dryland dog races return this year

28 October 2021 à 12:00 am

The Bristol Dryland dog races will be returning this weekend, after the 2020 races were scrapped due to the pandemic. Race organizer Denis Rozon said that the decision to host an event this year was done at the last minute, because they were uncertain what the public health restrictions would be.
He said that despite the smaller turnout, he was pleased with the number of teams that had signed up so far.

He noted that to comply with provincial rules, participants and spectators must provide proof of vaccination. All the races are free to watch.
Races start at 8:30 a.m. Saturday and Sunday and will run till about four in the afternoon. There will be many different classes featured throughout the weekend, from dog-assisted scooters and bikes, to the crowd favourite 8-dog cart, where drivers can achieve speeds of up to 50 km per hour.

The full interview with Rozon is available here.
