Donations and partnerships provide boost to Fort Coulonge arena
The Center de loisirs des Draveurs is gearing up for the start of the season at the arena, located in Fort-Coulonge. According Mansfield-et-Pontefract and Fort-Coulonge recreation coordinator, Guillaume Lavoie-Harvey, several improvements to the facilities have been undertaken thanks to donations from the community. Lavoie-Harvey highlighted the initiative of Century 21 Élite real estate broker Sébastien Bonnerot and singer Michaela Cahill, who raised funds through the sale of t-shirts during Cahill’s participation on the show “La Voix” last year.
The arena will also have a new logo thanks to a partnership with Bonnerot.
Thanks to this partnership, there will be several improvements made at the arena over the next few months and other partnerships should be announced shortly. Note that the new board of directors of the Coopérative du Center de loisirs des Draveurs has been announced and that Stéphane Béland will assume the presidency. Phil Deanult was appointed vice-president and outgoing Mansfield Mayor Gilles Dionne was newly elected to this committee.
