Marc Carrière seeks top job in MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais

5 October 2021 à 12:00 am

The citizen of MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais (which includes the Municipality of Pontiac) will have the chance to elect their warden through universal suffrage for the first time. Eric Antoine and outgoing Warden Caryl Green announced their candidacy early on, but it wasn’t until the last day that Marc Carrière also joined the race. Carrière was the former MNA for Chapleau between 2008 and 2018, and also served as the warden of the MRC and mayor of Val-des-Monts.

He told CHIP 101.9 that his focus would be on environmental issues and growth of the MRC.

“I still have a taste and passion for politics, my community and the people of our region. It’s a bit like coming home,” he said (translated).

The full (French-language) interview with Carrière is available here.
