Outaouais Conservative candidates support tramway project
Three Conservative candidates in the Outaouais voiced their support for the tramway project in west Gatineau in a press conference yesterday. Pontiac candidate Michel Gauthier one, along with his colleagues Sandrine Périon of Hull-Aylmer and Joël Bernard of Gatineau.
The project would provide a public transportation link between Aylmer and downtown Ottawa. The provincial government has already committed to funding 60% of the line.
Gauthier spoke about the supporters of the project, from the local business community to municipal politicians and organizations.
