New bus service between Gatineau-Ottawa and Montreal
New bus service between Gatineau-Ottawa and Montreal
As of July 8, the interurban transport service of a Keolis Canada subsidiary, Orléans Express, will be enhanced by an offer linking Gatineau and Ottawa to Montreal. This ride has not been offered since the start of the pandemic last year. Orléans Express will initially offer four departures per day on this corridor.
“In the current context, the addition of a new service on a major route such as the line between Montreal and Gatineau/Ottawa will improve the service offering to Orléans Express customers, who will now be able to travel from Ottawa to the Gaspé Peninsula, and vice versa. This is excellent news, “said Karine Lasalle, Vice-President of Business Development at Keolis Canada.
Passengers can already book their trip at orleansexpress.com. Karine Lasalle also recalled that social distancing measures are still in effect in Orleans Express buses.
With a view to a return to normalcy, Keolis Canada, through its subsidiary Orléans Express, wishes to participate in its own way in the economic and tourism revival by responding to the demands of the business world, schools and tourist industry who request this route. The company also hopes that this addition to its service offering can support the possible reopening of other routes if the context and traffic conditions lend themselves to it.
