The number of active cases remains stable in the Pontiac

The COVID-19 situation is improving in the Outaouais and remains stable, for the moment, in the Pontiac.

According to statistics from the Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais, the number of active cases is now 179.

In the Pontiac, the number of cases is stable, with 15 cases. This number for the region remains the highest in the rural Outaouais regions, since the MRC Papineau has 7 cases, the Vallée-de-la-Gatineau has 5 cases or less and the MRC des Collines-de-l’Outaouais reports 7 active cases as of today (June 1). The number of hospitalizations for the region is now 9.

In total, 261,811 people have so far obtained at least one dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. In Quebec, the percentage of people vaccinated exceeded the bar of 60%, reaching 60.8% as of May 31.
