In his interview with CHIP 101.9 this week, Pontiac MP William Amos said he believes the Pontiac economy will be growing, thanks in part to construction projects and the trend, since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, of several residents interested in acquiring properties in rural areas. He also reiterated that his number one priority remains accessibility for all to high-speed Internet.

“For me the priority will remain high speed internet. This week I wrote a letter to the CRTC asking them specifically to speed up their decision-making process with regard to the picanoc project […] when we are all covered by an optical fiber, that will open a lot of doors. “

William Amos also spoke about the issue of vaccination in the country, including the acceptance of AstraZeneca’s vaccine against COVID-19.

“This is great news, because it’s another weapon we have to beat the virus.” Having another vaccine that has been approved by Health Canada will allow us to vaccinate more Canadians and the more the weeks go by, the more there will be an acceleration of the process, ”says William Amos.
