More than 1,800 customers affected by power outages in the Pontiac

The weather conditions of the last day, composed of strong winds and heavy snow, caused blackouts in several sectors in the Outaouais, including the Pontiac. 1,858 Hydro-Québec customers were deprived of electricity in the MRC Pontiac. Otter Lake was the most affected municipality with 855 customers, the Municipality of Thorne also had 192 customers without electricity. Several teams are mobilized in the field to repair the breakdowns. It could take several hours to restore power in some areas where the network has been more damaged or in places that are difficult to access, according to Hydro-Quebec.
