Despite the snow, some have rejoiced for cooler temperatures during the spring flooding season along the Ottawa River. The Warden of the MRC Pontiac, Jane Toller assured that the Pontiac municipalities and the MRC are closely monitoring the levels of the river.

Pontiac authorities are therefore optimistic that the flood damage will be limited this spring. More information on the level of the Ottawa River is available on the Ottawa River Regulation Planning Boards Website.
