The 2019 floods atop the “ten most significant weather events marking Canada”

The ”top ten most significant weather events in Canada in 2019″, issued by Environment Canada, specifies the ten worst weather events over the previous year. Significant events even affecting regions like the Pontiac, such as the ‘spring floods along the Ottawa river’, which is positioned at the top of the list.

David Phillips, the Senior Climatologist at Environment Canada, explained how this event marked the country in such a way to be considered first.

Phillips also talked about the increase in significant weather events in Canada over the past few decades.
