The Mayor of Otter Lake Kim Cartier-Villeneuve said that the priorities for the municipality in 2020 will be, among other things, to buy another truck for snow removal and to buy another composter, as a way to better serve citizens since the composting project has started seeing success.

In recent weeks, the Municipality of Otter Lake has tabled its 2020 budget, presenting a balanced budget of $ 2,453,899. The municipality will maintain its tax rate of 0.62 per $100. The service tax will also be maintained in 2020 without increase.

The municipality also intends to improve its website and work on certain municipal by-laws.
