The President of the Hauts-Bois-de-l’Outaouais School Board (CSHBO), Diane Nault, sent a letter to the Minister of Families and Minister responsible for the Outaouais, Mathieu Lacombe, in which she, representing the School Board, reacted to Lacombe’s apology on Twitter, concerning an error made in a recent publication of the newspaper Les 2 vallées.

On December 4th, in sending his holiday greetings to the residents of the MRC Papineau, Minister Lacombe summarizes the recent achievements of the CAQ government in his electoral district, highlighting the adoption of Bill 40, regarding the transformation of school governance.

In the first version of Lacombe’s message, it was said in French: “As promised, in Quebec, we notably adopted our bill on transforming school boards.” In an edited version the word “adopted” was changed to “tabled.” Mathieu Lacombe later apologized for this on Twitter.

The President of the CSHBO issued a press release yesterday: “We poorly accept your apology that it was an error made in good faith by an employee of your county office,” Nault addressed. “At the very least, you could have assumed this error entirely and delivered more than just a simple message on Twitter. “
