29 November 2019 à 12:00 am

The Centre intégré de santé et de services sociaux (CISSS) de l’Outaouais announced another interruption of service in the Obstetrics unit of the Pontiac Hospital as of today, Friday November 29, at 4pm until Monday, December 2, at 8 a.m. According to the press release issued by the CISSS today, the interruption is due to a lack of nurses on staff in obstetrics.

Until the service is reinstated, pregnant women in labor, in the region, will be redirected after being evaluated at the Shawville Hospital to the Gatineau Hospital. In the event that a pregnant woman arrives for imminent delivery, there will be qualified personnel to provide care. Expectant mothers affected by this break in service have been notified.

The CISSS de l’Outaouais reiterated once again that this is a temporary situation and the return to normal is scheduled for December 2, 8am.
