Outaouais meeting with Secretariat responsible for relations with English speaking communities

Last Friday, November 1st 2019, a meeting was held in Gatineau between the representatives of the English-speaking community in the Outaouais and the secretariat responsible for relations with English speaking Quebecers at l’Assemblée Nationale, spear-headed by Christopher Skeete, the MNA for Sainte-Rose and Parliamentary Assistant to the premier for relations with English Speaking Quebecers. During the event, many organizations were present to explain their current situation and to make requests to the government of Québec. On that, CHIP 101.9 spoke to Christopher Skeete to get his impression of the Gatineau meeting, to which he said he now has a better understanding of the reality of the region.

Skeete also talked about how the issues and the overall information that were brought up during the meeting will be used moving forward:

According to Christopher Skeete, the secretariat who is responsible for relations with English Speaking Quebecers is under the jurisdiction of Premier François Legault, who is also the Minister responsible for relations with English speaking Quebecers.
