Vinton native Quinn O’Brien: Ottawa Gee-Gees captain for next season

The Pontiac native hockey player from Vinton sector of the municipality Litchfield, Quinn O’Brien, has recently been appointed as this year’s captain of the University of Ottawa’s Gee-Gees hockey team.

This will be his fourth year playing for the Gee-Gee’s, and his first year wearing the captain title. Prior to play for the University of Ottawa, O’Brien played for the Rouyn-Noranda Huskies and the Charlottetown Islanders in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Last year, for the Gee-Gees, he collected 3 goals and 3 assists in 20 games. The Gee-Gees are coming back from a tour of Germany where they played 3 games. They will play their first pre-season game this week against the University of Windsor.
